Did you know ?

Sore necks and shoulders are the most common symptoms I treat – Mostly from sitting at a desk rather than sports!

What's the Muscle Rehab & Pilates approach?

I offer far more than just sports massages in Surrey – My holistic approach combines remedial massage work with Pilates, stretching and mobility, treating the body as a single organism and moving you through each stage for complete rehabilitation.

Manual therapy is first used to release tension within the muscle, stretch surrounding connective tissue and mobilise the targeted joint. Once this has been used to establish a starting point, we will run you through a course of Pilates to help you retain your new range of motion and strengthen the supporting musculature.

Of course, this is only one example of my approach – You might also come to me looking for a traditional sports massage in Surrey via a home visit or to work on your Pilates. Whatever your requirements, Muscle Rehab & Pilates can accommodate.

What can this approach treat?

Thanks to this twofold approach, I have treated a range of musculoskeletal conditions and imbalances including:

  • Sciatica
  • Golfer's elbow
  • Runner's knee
  • Tennis elbow
  • Carpal tunnel

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Chronically stiff muscles
  • Migraines and headaches stemming from neck pain

Let's work together to make your pain a thing of the past

The Muscle Rehab & Pilates Story

Hi, my name is Monika

I qualified with a BTEC (Level 5) in soft tissue therapy in 2009, the highest qualification in the industry in the UK.

After a number of years of working in different physiotherapy clinics in London and Weybridge, I decided to expand upon my knowledge by pursuing a qualification with Body Control Pilates so I could help my clients keep up the results they saw from my treatments and empower them to stay healthy.

Pilates is a great way of keeping your body strong (As its founder Joseph Pilates said, ‘If your spine is stiff at 30 you are old; if it is flexible at 60, you are young'), and I am very passionate about teaching it to my clients - It gets results whether you are looking to recover after a surgery, feel good mentally or stay in shape. I love what I do, and I am still amazed about the results that this non-invasive holistic therapy can provide.

My other major passion is golf. I am currently studying a Titleist qualification on golf swing analysis. By combining this with soft tissue work, Pilates, stretching and strengthening, I help my clients to improve their mobility and balance for a more efficient swing and, in turn, achieve better handicaps.

In my free time (when I'm not playing golf!) you can find me jogging with my 2 rescue dogs, practicing yoga or Pilates, kickboxing or spending quality time with my two children.

What are my qualifications?

  • BTEC Level 5 in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy
  • Level 3 Pilates mat work teacher
  • Fitness Level 2 instructor
  • TPI (golf) certification 1 – coming soon
